https://www.warrington.gov.uk/secondary-school-admissions
Parents of children born on or between 1 September 2008 and 31 August 2009 need to apply for a place in Year 7 for September 2020. The online application is available from 2 September 2019 until the closing date of 31 October 2019.
Our ‘Secondary Education – First Admission to Year 7 - Information for Parents 2020-21’ booklet will provide details of the application process and should enable you to estimate your chances of success at being allocated a place at a particular school before submitting your application.
We strongly advise that you read all of the information provided in this booklet before completing your application form.

Most of our children move on to Lymm High and we have established close links with colleagues there in order to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. Both parents and children have opportunities to attend taster days and open evenings and those parents who seek alternative secondary education for their child will be given help accordingly.
Please see the below information from Mr Williams Head teacher .
Dear parents and carers
I hope this finds you well. This is just a short note to update you on the latest position as regards admissions to Lymm High School.
In 2019, for the first time in many years, I’m afraid to say that not every Year 6 child from our partner primary schools who wanted a place here has been granted one for September. We have done everything we can to accommodate everybody, but it just hasn’t been possible and a small number of families have been left very disappointed. Whilst I hope the same does not happen again next year, and patterns do vary from year to year, I think it is important to let you know that there is a possibility the same situation may arise in future years. If Lymm High School is your school of first choice, then my advice would be to make sure you have given plenty of thought to which school would be your second choice – especially if you live a little further away from the us. This year, the last child to be admitted under the partner primary admissions criteria lives just over 4.3 miles from the school, but it is very important to understand that this can only ever be a very rough indication of the situation in future years.
I hope this helps provide some useful context even if, as I am well aware, this may add to the stress many of you will be feeling about the whole process. If you do have questions about the admissions process, then please contact Warrington Borough Council in the first instance via schooladmissions@warrington.gov.uk. If you have any particular issues, then do also feel free to contact us at the high school and we will do our best to help.
